while paid extended distribution (for $12.75) includes some nice improvements like Next Day Distribution and improved site placement. I should also mention that if you want your press releases pushed to MacWorld and the other agencies, you probably want to use this paid distribution since prMac sends a news agency email for paid releases.

prMac also offers a nice description of press releases, why to write them, and even how to write them (very useful for beginners). This information can be very valuable in getting your releases actually posted by news outlets.

The site is well done and visually pleasing. The only downside is having to pay for the extended distribution to the news agency list, but that’s perfectly understandable. I recommend giving this site a look as you come near software launch time to help ease up your press distribution.

Thoughts? How do you distribute your press releases? Is this worth it or do you do it by yourself for free?
