Back From Europe: Photos

I return from my weeklong journey to Italy and Britain, but I bring pictures too. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves (mostly).

We Begin in Turino

Our first days were spent touring and exploring Turino, Italy (famous for its olympic involvement). The city had a typical Italian feel and housed some great cafes. Drivers in Italy also amused me with their incredible speeds and general disregard for rules. Parking was hilarious. It seems in Italy, you can make a parking space yourself. Double parking is highly encouraged.

Moving to Milano

Milano expressed even more cultral than Turino. Although the driving seemed less intense, it had even better gelato and some cool museums and art.

Off to the UK

Returning to a country where I can actually speak the language, we flew to London. What can I say about London? Fish n’ Chips, museums, castles. It was really cool. Plus British accents are amazing.

This guy is amazing. I already had his CD, and it was really fun to listen to him live at Covent Garden. I highly recommend checking out his work.

Wrap Up

The entire trip was truly amazing and a lot of fun. I think I got some good pictures too. For the rest of the stream, check out my Europe ‘07 set on flickr.

Glad you had fun! I’m planning to go to Italy and Greece with my Latin club this summer — gotta work first to get the money to go — and I can’t wait to see some of the Roman architecture that’s still standing. Renaissance Italian art is just beautiful; I remember studying the Duomo (its doors particularly) in Octathlon. I remember reading my art packets for hours — I adored everything about the artwork created during that period.

Thanks for the great pictures! It’s nice to know that you didn’t go to clichéd locations!

Hey Dustin,

Been using your Show Yourself widget for a while, although have now pretty much changed it beyond recognition (check my footer). http://jamesspratt.com/blog
But thanks for the original idea anywho.

Glad to hear you had a great time in the UK, (I work just down the road from Big Ben).

Keep up the good work.
