Hi all,

Been a very long time.
I’ve got a lot of projects as of right now, and just planning them and working on them has taken up a lot of time.

So I decided to devote a little time to getting back into blogging.

#1. MacWorld
The single most important event of the year for Apple, and they did it well. At least the stock price went up, and right now that’s all that matters to me. I got in at 50 bucks and I’m happy to say that they are over 85. So what was so important about MacWorld? The biggest thing is the switch to Intel. We’ve now got two Intel options in the AppleStore: the iMac and the Mac Book Pro. Where will the switch take Apple? Who knows? The Intel processor opens a lot of doors for Apple. It could possibly lead to Windows on Mac apps, where you can simply install an exe in Mac OS X. This would be fine for me, as long as you could turn it off. I’ve heard complaints that say that if Windows apps could run on OS X without a need for a special version, then developers would just program for windows. True. But not completely true. Some will. I can see lots of companies just making mac users install the shitty-ass Windows version without dedicating any time to maintaining the OS X UI. Well, thats just better for us right. The mac developers. If companies seriously think users won’t distinguish between a windows app on X and an app made for OS X, well then they can just go to hell. I’m sure OS X developers will just thank them. Just look at all the apps we have, now imagine a windows version running along side it. What would you pick. You are gonna’ pick the OS X version all day. Which makes me happy, cause I develop only for X.

#2. myTunes
We’ve got a new version of myTunes planned out. Version 3.0. We got a whole bunch of features, but I don’t wanna talk about them, cause we wanna save up for the official release. So I’ve gotta’ sit down and program all these things in XCode within the next week. Gonna’ be a long week.

#3. DiggUpdate
I’ve recieved two translations of DiggUpdate, one into German and one into Swedish. I will have those out soon, along with some new features for DiggUpdate.

#4. School
We’ve got some huge projects going on in school, which will also be taking up a lot of time. I’ve been slacking off on them, and hopefully I can get a big chunk of them done tomorrow on our day off.

And finally,

#5. Our Film
My friends and I have began our new venture into the world of movies and film. We are going to make our own 30 minute movie. At least somewhere around 30 minutes. I have just finished up our 1st revision of the script. We are going to have to edit it a little and make some few changes, but we have a very good idea of the story and dialouge. I used Final Draft 7, so the script looks very professional and proper. I’m very excited cause I have this whole story unfolding in my head and I can’t wait to get it down on video. For the project we won’t be shooting on film, which is a disappointment but not much of a shock, because I don’t have 30 grand to spend on film plus a bunch more for the camera. However, I have some decent lights and have read some tutorials on line and hopefully at least through post-production we can get a decent looking copy. As of now our crew/cast looks like this.
