White Stipes Are Getting Behind Satan

I bought the new White Stripes album Get Behind Me Satan maybe a weak ago. Now after listening to a good amount of time, I’ve put together my review.
This is my first White Stripes album. I had “Seven Nation Army” on Elephant, but that was all. I really liked that song and the style of music. After the White Stripes performed on The Daily Show (Scroll down a little), I knew I had to get the album. I downloaded it on iTunes and started to listen to “My Doorbell.” This was the one that I remembered from The Daily Show. I’ve had this for 9 days, and already listened to it 17 times. Really really really hooked on it. “My Doorbell” has a great riff and you just want to keep on listening. This really shows the ability of Jack White on the piano. The chorus is just fantastic, just makes you wanna dance. Also, you can really hear the real variation in music and how its not just the same repitition.
“The Denial Twist” is also a great example of the White Stripes work. You can really get into the back beat from the percussion. The lyrics are also really catchy with some real meaning behind them.
This album is really a great compilation of experimental but also very catchy tracks. Jack White switches between guitar an piano between some songs, and he illustrates his great skill at both instruments as well as a very strong and powerful vocals.
I give this a 8.5 out of 10. This is a must buy for anyone into the White Stripes or any rock fan.
